Job summary

Meijer is hiring for an Asset Protection/Protection role in a retail setting. You will maintain a visible presence at entry and exit points, quickly addressing unsafe situations and preventing theft while engaging with customers and staff.

The position requires a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to move throughout the store. Training in de-escalation and technology tools is provided to support incident documentation and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Actively identify and quickly resolve unsafe conditions and situations.
• Prevent theft through an active presence and engagement with customers entering and exiting.
• Respond to alerts urgently to check receipts, recover unpaid merchandise, and resolve alarms.
• Reduce store disruption following the company de-escalation and negotiation techniques.
• Document and communicate theft, safety, and alarm activity incidents.
