Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. in California seeks a Department Area Supervisor to assist the Store Manager in daily store operations and customer service. You will supervise assigned areas and help implement the dd’s DISCOUNTS philosophy and policies.

The role requires at least 2 years of retail management, strong leadership and coaching abilities, and the capacity to train and motivate associates across all store areas. Evening and weekend shifts are common.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 2 years of management experience in retail.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, motivate and communicate positively with associates.
• Ability to train, coach and develop associates.
• Strong organizational skills and prioritization capability.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts and move around all store areas.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of all non-exempt employees.
• Act as Store Manager in their absence and ensure company standards are met.
• Execute business plan to deliver sales and profit.
• Maintain high-quality customer service.
• Assist in recruiting, training and developing associates.
• Drive shrink control programs to achieve shrink targets.
