Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a store area, open/close duties, supervise associates, and uphold a welcoming, well-presented shopping environment in our California location. The role emphasizes security, merchandising and efficient front-end operations.

You will lead frontline teams, ensure safety compliance, train cashiers, and support payroll and scheduling tasks as part of store leadership. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store; supervise associates; ensure merchandise presentation.
• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment; report unsafe conditions to leadership.
• Train and coach associates on cash registers and front-end procedures; ensure efficiency.
• Manage front-end operations to expedite customer lines and maintain service levels.
• Handle payroll, scheduling, and other administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
