Job summary

Kroger in Wisconsin is seeking a Front End Operations Associate to support day-to-day front end department operations, policies, and procedures, upholding core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Responsibilities include improving processes, training staff, ensuring a safe and efficient customer experience, and maintaining a clean, well-organized checkout area.

Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Store retail experience with emphasis on customer service and front-end operations.
• Ability to multi task and handle large workloads.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to learn computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ACE, Supersked).
• Understanding of department operations (people management, merchandising, inventory, shrink control, scheduling, expenses).
• Past work record showing integrity and dependability.
• Thorough experience in customer service and all phases of front-end operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support of Front End operations, policies, processes and procedures.
• Develop more effective and efficient processes for Front End, Customer Service Center and Accounting.
• Design a cleaner, more efficient working environment for Front End, Customer Service and Accounting.
• Ensure safe, effective customer service throughout the department.
• Provide training, support and follow-up on all aspects of Key Retailing.
• Coach and train customer service manager and front-end supervisors.
• Promote and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports.
• Support store management and customer service manager in maintaining a well-organized, clean environment at check stands and related areas.
• Follow through on special assignments and perform any duties as assigned.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
