Meijer Inc. is seeking an Area Leader for our Coldwater, MI location. The role directs Leads and Team Leaders, driving engagement, coaching, scheduling and budget ownership to maximize store performance.

The incumbent identifies talent, ensures onboarding and development, and upholds safety and compliance while executing corporate plans to boost sales and productivity in line with Meijer culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.
• Lead a safety-conscious organization and ensure compliance.
• Understand merchandising to meet customer and community needs.
• Strong business acumen and innovative approach to operations.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to onboard, train and coach for success.
• Identifies talent and plans staffing and leadership development.
• Discusses performance openly to uphold Meijer standards and growth.
• Oversees area operations and financial results, managing budget items.
• Drives safety, compliance and store condition management.
• Leads Leads and Team Leaders, assigns daily work and training needs.
• Supports process improvements and the Meijer culture.
