Rural King is seeking a Front End Department Lead to oversee front-end operations, support cashiers, and provide an efficient, positive customer experience at our Cullman, AL store.

You will lead front-end associates, manage cash handling and POS processes, and partner with other departments to ensure smooth checkout and BOPIS fulfillment. This role emphasizes service excellence and accountability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail cashier, front-end, or supervisory experience.
• Strong cash-handling, math, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use POS systems, Microsoft Office, and other retail technology.
• Ability to work a 40-hour week with varied days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and support front-end associates in daily operations.
• Oversee cashier and customer service desk transactions, including returns and exchanges.
• Manage cash handling, bank deposits, and audits.
• Support registers and educate associates on loyalty and protection plans.
• Maintain front-end displays and customer-facing areas.
• Follow loss-prevention procedures and shrink awareness.
• Oversee BOPIS fulfillment and customer pickups.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve customer needs and maintain efficiency.
• Communicate policies clearly and participate in training.
