Giant Eagle in Midland, TX invites you to join our Front End team as a Front End Lead. You will help drive guest satisfaction, ensure accurate sales capture, and provide leadership on the front end.

You'll support the Front End Leader, manage schedules, coach team members, and oversee compliance with safety and loss prevention practices while delivering dependable service across all lanes.

Qualifications

• Experience of 1–3 years in retail or frontline supervisory role.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 21+ years old due to age requirement and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain consistent coverage of Self Checkout activities and ensure all sales are captured while delivering exceptional Guest service.
• Direct traffic flow for fast checkout and assist cashiers as needed.
• Create and manage daily schedules and control sheets for efficiency and compliance; manage break/Lunch plans and cash control.
• Assist Front End Leader with auxiliary Front End lines of business (gift cards, candy, etc).
• Take ownership of the Front End when the Front-End Leader is not on duty and act as the point person.
• Ensure daily completion of compliance topics (AML, scale/PIN pad checks, WIC).
• Order Front End supplies considering cost and demand.
• Train and coach Front End Team Members on efficiencies, service culture, and loss prevention with tools like Cashier Coach Pad.
• Support Front End Leader with special projects or champion assignments.
