Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Front End Lead to support the Front End Leader, ensure efficient, safe, and secure front-end operations, and drive guest satisfaction. The role emphasizes coverage, coaching, and adherence to compliance topics across lanes and self-checkout areas.

The position involves creating schedules, managing break plans, and guiding team members with loss prevention and best practices, while maintaining a high standard of guest service and operational integrity.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
1 to 3 years experience in a front-end/retail lead role.
Age 21 or older, capable of handling lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain coverage of Self Checkout activities and accurate sales capture.
Direct traffic flow for speedy checkout and assist cashiers as needed.
Create and manage daily schedules and break plans for efficiency.
Own the Front End in the absence of the Front-End Leader.
Ensure daily compliance activities and oversee specific topics (AML, PIN checks, etc.).
Train Front End Team on efficiency, loss prevention, and service culture.
