Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a Front End Lead to oversee front-end operations and coordinate front-end staff. You will proactively respond to customer issues, train cashiers, and ensure the front of store remains clean and presentable while promoting excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include partnering with upper management to schedule and direct work, enforcing policies on checkout procedures, and maintaining accurate cash handling and safety standards across the front end.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two+ years of related experience or equivalent education
• Must obtain HIPAA certification within 2 weeks of starting in role
• Must obtain Tobacco/Alcohol certification (TABC/LACT/AATC) within 2 weeks where applicable
• Must obtain Manager Food Safety certification within 2 weeks of starting in role
• Must obtain AML certification within 2 weeks of starting in role

Responsibilities

• Train and develop partners in conjunction with upper management
• Schedule, plan, assign and direct work
• Train cashiers and courtesy/utility clerks on policies and procedures
• Ensure freshness, safety, refrigeration and sanitation standards
• Provide checkout services and bagging; transport groceries as needed
• Maintain accurate money count in register at all times
• Monitor parking lot cleanliness and customer flow
• Manage potential front-end shrink and compliance with policies
• Greet customers and address questions and complaints
• Maintain safe, clean and sanitary work environment according to safety procedures
