Job summary

Cavender’s in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking a Head Cashier to lead the front-end team and deliver Best of the WEST customer service. You will process transactions accurately, train cashiers, and help maintain a clean, organized store while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to accurately operate a Point of Sale system and handle cash and electronic transactions.
• Ability to train and coach associates while promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise throughout the work shift.
• Ability to safely use store equipment, including handheld devices, step stools, and dollies, in accordance with company policies.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the business.
• Ability to comprehend basic instructions, interpret documents, and apply them to daily tasks.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Associate must be able to read and understand English.
• Associate must be able to stay alert and productive during assigned work hours.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cavender’s Culture and mission, vision, and values.
• Deliver Best of the WEST customer service by greeting customers and assisting throughout their shopping experience.
• Process customer purchases, returns, exchanges, and other POS transactions accurately.
• Maintain merchandise accuracy and proper displays.
• Promote store programs and suggest complementary merchandise.
• Provide accurate, courteous responses to customer inquiries in person or by phone.
• Train and coach new and existing cashiers on POS procedures and policies.
• Assist store leadership by monitoring front-end operations and resolving customer concerns.
• Keep a clean, organized, and stocked sales floor and assist with housekeeping tasks.
• Ensure merchandise is properly displayed and stocked according to company standards.
• Monitor store safety and report concerns promptly to management.
• Report to work on time and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Assist with merchandising updates, price changes, and special orders.
