Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Customer Service/Front End Dept Manager for our Sussex, WI store. You will lead frontline teams, drive onboarding, training and coaching to deliver excellent customer service and store performance.

You will manage area operations and budgets, ensure safety and compliance, guide team leads, and implement process improvements while upholding Meijer culture and inclusivity. Previous retail leadership preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 4+ years in retail/grocery or customer service.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Strong service orientation and customer focus.
• Ability to analyze financial data and make decisions.
• Experience leading safety-first operations.
• Creative problem solving and proactive thinking.
• Understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Onboard, train and develop team members; provide coaching and feedback.
• Identify talent and discuss career paths to support staffing needs.
• Ensure Meijer standards and growth opportunities are upheld.
• Oversee area operations and financial results; manage budget line items in P&L.
• Drive safety, compliance and store conditions; enforce procedures.
• Guide Team Leaders and Leads; assign daily tasks and training needs.
