Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Front-End Supervisor at our Byron Center, MI location. The role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service, supervising front-end operations in the absence of the Customer Service Manager, and ensuring shifts contribute to the store's financial goals.

You will oversee cash handling, transactions, and adherence to safety and guest experience guidelines while training staff and maintaining a well-stocked, clean front-end area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.).
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Accounting/Bookkeeping skills and ability to interpret/analyse financials.
• Develop and manage budgets; delegate/direct/implement.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform all front-end transactions (cash, checks, debit/credit/EBT, IDs, refunds, gift certificates).
• Promptly handle return-to-stock items; prioritize perishable items.
• Know product locations and advertised items; apply coupons and deals.
• Train others to perform department activities and functions.
• Manage scheduling and supervision of staff to meet productivity goals.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and safe front-end area.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety, and guest experience guidelines.
• Perform tasks in other departments as needed.
