Job summary

Avista Senior Living North Mountain in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an exceptional, responsible receptionist to join the Front Desk team of our assisted living and memory care community. This is a full-time position focused on providing information and assistance with a friendly, professional demeanor.

You will greet residents and guests, answer calls, manage mail, and keep the lobby clean while prioritizing safety and teamwork. Prior senior living experience and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of job-related experience preferred in senior living communities.
• Positive and engaging demeanor with a passion for serving others.
• Willingness to make a great first impression with residents and visitors.
• Experience with dementia care preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and communicate clearly.
• Proficiency in basic computer systems and creating simple community flyers.
• Ability to work semi-independently following procedures and guidelines.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate individuals promptly and professionally.
• Manage business center operations and process mail.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming lobby and front desk area.
• Direct emergency personnel to locations and be a contact for emergencies.
• Log significant incidents and maintain visitor sign-in/out and reservation books.
• Support teamwork and collaboration with other departments.
