Job summary

Gold's Gym is seeking a Front Desk Associate to warmly greet members, guests and staff as they enter the facility. You will manage front door security, complete member check-ins, register guests, answer phones, and route inquiries to the appropriate fitness consultants.

In this role you will contribute to a welcoming environment, handle routine admin tasks, process retail sales, and support daily gym operations with a professional, courteous demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and members.
• Ability to communicate verbally, non-verbally and in writing.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles is required.
• Understanding of basic cash handling procedures is required.
• Functional computer skills are required.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests enthusiastically, directing them with a friendly, timely entrance and exit.
• Provide security and control at the front door and retail area.
• Check in members using proper procedures and register all guests.
• Answer phones professionally and transfer inquiries to the appropriate staff.
• Log inquiries and follow up to ensure appointments are booked properly.
• Maintain neat appearance and wear uniform with nametag while on duty.
• Process retail and concession sales and assist with basic administrative tasks.
• Follow opening/closing procedures and report safety concerns.
