Job summary

Proliance Surgeons, Inc. is seeking a Patient Services Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, scheduling appointments, greeting visitors, and verifying insurance - supporting physicians and staff in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsibilities include patient check-in, information accuracy in PM/EMR systems, and coordinating with medical assistants to ensure smooth clinic operations. Strong customer service and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or the Equivalent
• 1-2 years relevant experience in public contact, preferably in medical office environment
• Minimum 1-year front office or reception experience, medical preferred
• Practice Management experience (desired)

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service, both in person and on the phone.
• Greet and direct patients, vendors, and visitors.
• Verify insurance eligibility and financial status; ensure consent forms and patient information are up to date in PM and EMR systems
• Answers multiline phone system, schedules patient appointments, and routes calls to staff or physicians
• Enter personal health information and financial data into practice management system with high accuracy; comply with HIPAA and privacy rules
• Assist patients with check-in process and completion of paperwork
• Communicate status of appointments, wait times, or cancellations/reschedules
• Review records for completeness and ensure records are in order
• Coordinate with medical assistants and clinical team to facilitate patient flow
• Schedule appointments, conferences, and interpreters as needed
• Follow onboarding policies and Associate Handbook instructions
