Novant Health Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Services Representative to greet patients, process paperwork, verify demographics and insurance, and collect co-pays at our Newberry location. The role supports multiple centers as needed and requires strong communication and customer service skills.

The position involves front-office duties, basic data entry, and collaboration with billing and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow. A 12-hour shift availability and weekend work are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Computer skills.
• Willling to work 12 hour shifts and weekends.
• Willling to work at other centers as needed.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to reflect our mission, vision, and values through actions and conduct.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and assists with paperwork and sign-in.
• Maintains front office appearance and demographics accuracy.
• Enter charges into the system and collect co-payments.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility by phone, fax, or internet.
• Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments.
• Balance daily transactions and take deposits as needed.
• Copy and forward patient records as requested.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and access front/ waiting areas.
