The role involves verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, updating demographics, and coordinating scheduling with services requested. Candidates should have medical terminology knowledge and strong communication skills, with flexibility for shifts and other centers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency
• Medical terminology knowledge
• Willing to work 12 hour shifts and weekends
• Willing to work at other centers as needed
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and assists with paperwork, sign-in, and front office appearance.
• Verifies patient insurance eligibility via telephone, fax, or Internet and collects co-payments.
• Updates patient demographics and makes changes with insurance carriers.
• Answers incoming calls and schedules appointments.
• Cleans counters and waiting area and maintains orderly front desk.
• Directs patients to billing as needed after center review.
• Performs daily balancing and deposits; sends medical records when requested.
• Files charts and assists in training new employees.
