Job summary

Patient First in Newport News, VA seeks a proactive Patient Service Representative to assist patients at the kiosk, register and bill accurately, and support front-desk operations. You will interact with physicians, nurses, and patients with warmth and efficiency.

The role requires basic typing, one year of clerical experience, and excellent communication. A center-wide team may assign additional shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of clerical experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in the EMR prior to registration and assist with billing questions.
• Escort patients needing emergency care to the treatment area.
• Handle billing policies and provide itemized statements as requested.
• Collect payments and manage receipts for visits and supplies.
