Job summary

University Health Services is seeking a Patient Service Representative to support clinic operations with day-to-day administrative tasks and a focus on delivering high-quality customer service to patients.

The role includes greeting and screening patients, handling multi-line phones, scheduling, managing patient accounts, data entry in the electronic health record, and supporting front desk operations as needed. This position may occasionally require evening shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; transcript required.
• Two years of related admin clerical experience including six months of medical receptionist experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet, screen and direct patients and visitors.
• Answer multi-line phone system, schedule appointments and route calls.
• Perform general office duties: word processing, copying, scanning, faxing, mail sorting and data entry.
• Maintain patient accounts and verify payment methods; collect data or payments as appropriate.
• Keep waiting areas and front desk organized and neat.
• Create and maintain charts in electronic formats and index documents in the EHR.
• Attend department staff and clinical meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
