Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Southeast Michigan is seeking a Medical Receptionist to deliver outstanding patient service. You will welcome patients, verify registrations, schedule appointments, answer calls, and assist with billing and MyChart support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent; relevant coursework in insurance/billing preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a medical, physician office, or customer service setting preferred.
• Experience in patient registration, scheduling, and billing processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
• Check patients in and verify registration and insurance information.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Answer phones and route messages to appropriate staff.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
• Partner with providers and clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Oversee daily work queues.
• Serve as a Collections Advocate and address moderate billing issues.
