MyMichigan Health is seeking a friendly and organized Patient Service Assistant to serve as the front-line contact for the practice. You will greet patients, register demographics, verify insurance, collect payments and schedule tests or referrals when needed.

You will coordinate between front office, clinical staff and providers, ensuring accurate information and a positive patient experience while upholding HIPAA and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
• Two years of experience in a medical office or similar setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office policies/procedures.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and visitors; answer phones and handle inquiries.
• Verify and update patient information; confirm insurance coverage.
• Schedule appointments for all providers using multiple systems.
• Register new patients and explain policies; collect emails for portal registration.
• Collect copayments, process referrals, and obtain prior authorizations as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and complete forms (HIPAA, PPA, MSP).
• Post payments to patient accounts and handle communications.
