Banner Health is seeking a PFS Representative to support outpatient behavioral health services in Mesa, AZ. You will check-in/out patient visits, run estimates, collect payments, call insurances, confirm appointments, and schedule or reschedule as needed.

The role requires strong customer service, multitasking, a positive attitude and reliability. A valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card is required, and experience with medical billing or scheduling software is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program or related healthcare training.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent per state requirements.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with medical software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card required for certain Banner locations.

Responsibilities

• Check-in/out patient visits and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Run estimates and process payments; collect patient balances.
• Call insurance companies and confirm appointments; schedule/reschedule as needed.
• Provide clerical support including documentation for billing and patient records.
• Maintain clean and organized clinical environments and assist with basic patient care tasks as needed.
