Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Front Office Patient Financial Representative in Scottsdale, AZ. The role coordinates patient flow, handles registration, verifies insurance, and collects patient liability while guiding patients on financial options.

It supports scheduling and interdepartmental communication to maximize reimbursement and ensure compliance. Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, with coverage as needed at multiple Banner facilities in the Phoenix area.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient financial services or insurance processes.
• Ability to multitask with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Registers/checks-in patients; data entry and intake forms.
• Verifies insurance eligibility; assists with pre-certifications and authorizations.
• Calculates and collects patient liability; explains policies.
• Posts payments/charges; reconciles daily cash and deposits.
• Schedules visits; confirms appointments and prepares patients.
• Communicates with patients and care teams to improve flow.
