Job summary

South Boston Community Health Center is seeking a friendly Patient Registration & Front Desk Support professional to greet patients, register them in Epic, verify identities, and collect copayments. You will schedule appointments, answer calls, route messages, and work with the care team to ensure accurate information and a smooth visit from check-in to check-out.

Qualifications

• Enter, verify, and maintain patient demographic, insurance, and billing information in the EMR.
• Verify patient identity using identifiers and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Provide knowledgeable, reliable, and courteous service in a busy healthcare environment.
• Manage scheduling, payments, and front desk duties with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors professionally and courteously.
• Register patients in Epic and update demographic, insurance, billing, and contact information.
• Handle scheduling, appointment reminders, and inquiries; route messages to appropriate departments.
• Collect copayments and balance daily payments; maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with care teams to support patient flow and clinic operations.
