Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access/Registration professional to ensure accurate collection and entry of patient information, verify coverage, and support billing processes.

You will greet patients, collect demographics, and obtain consent signatures in a fast-paced Neurology Call Center setting. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in a healthcare access role, familiarity with EPIC EMR, and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of healthcare experience in patient access/registration.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling experience.
• Experience in a high-volume call center.
• Experience with EPIC or other EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Verify insurance coverage and pre-authorization requirements.
• Collect and enter patient demographics and insurance information into electronic medical records.
• Ensure accurate and complete collection of patient demographic and insurance information.
• Obtain necessary signatures for consent and authorization forms.
• Resolve insurance and billing-related issues.
• Maintain high level of customer service and resolve complaints promptly.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines.
