Job summary

Christ Community Health Services seeks a Registration Representative to greet patients, verify insurance, register, schedule, and ensure smooth clinic flow. You will collect payments, manage records in the EHR, and support care access for diverse populations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of clerical experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Medical Billing and Coding Certificate or Medical Assistant credential preferred.
• Compassionate, patient-centered service to diverse populations.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, privacy policies, and insurance basics.
• Experience with EHRs and scheduling workflows.

Responsibilities

• Greet, check in, and register patients courteously and professionally.
• Verify insurance and eligibility, and manage sliding fee information.
• Collect copays and payments; maintain cash-handling accuracy.
• Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel appointments.
• Support front-desk operations and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Use interpreter services for patients with limited English proficiency.
• Process patient documents in the EHR and coordinate referrals.
• Assist with end-of-day reports and maintain a welcoming environment.
