Mercy Whiteside Building, 2115 S Fremont Ave, Springfield, MO 65804, is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first contact for patients and visitors, managing front-desk operations to ensure a positive patient experience.

The PSR will communicate patient financial responsibility, request and collect payments, explain payment options and assistance resources, and accurately document financial conversations and outcomes to support smooth billing and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills including data entry and word processing.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail when handling patient information and documentation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow privacy policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage front-desk operations and workflows to support a positive patient experience.
• Explain patient financial responsibility and collect payments.
• Discuss payment options and available financial assistance resources.

• Attend and complete Clinic Core Front Desk Training post-hire.
