Job summary

Select Medical’s outpatient physical therapy center in Washington, DC is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet and register patients, provide visit information, and coordinate scheduling at the front desk.

This full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule (hours vary, some evenings), $18.00–$21.00 per hour based on experience, and benefits like mentorship, generous PTO, comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, and a company-matching 401(k).

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1 year Front Desk experience.
• Preferred: Healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Coordinate with attorneys' offices, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
