Job summary

Select Medical's Ashburn outpatient physical therapy center is hiring a Patient Service Specialist to greet patients, register them, and set expectations for their visits. This full-time role operates weekdays from 8am to 4:30pm in Ashburn, VA.

You will handle appointment scheduling, coordinate with insurance providers, collect co-pays, and support both patient care and business operations. The position includes mentorship, generous PTO, and benefits such as medical and 401(k) options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year front desk experience.
• Minimum 1 year medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and explain visit expectations.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Coordinate with attorneys, insurers, translators, and internal teams.
• Collect co-pays, process payer approvals, and handle insurance verifications.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Health Care Experience
• Previous Therapy Experience
• 1 Year of OP Experience
