Job summary

ProActive Physical Therapy Specialists, part of the Confluent Health family, seeks a full-time Front Desk Medical Receptionist for its Sandy team. You will be the first voice and face for patients, setting a warm, organized tone and guiding them through visits with privacy and care.

Training is provided to cover EMR navigation, scheduling workflows, and insurance basics. This role emphasizes multi-tasking, calm handling of inquiries, and a professional presence in a fast-paced clinical

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
1+ year of customer-facing experience.
Ability to multitask and stay organized.
Comfortable communicating on the phone with patients and callers.

Responsibilities

Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
Manage front desk operations: patient check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, calls.
Review, schedule, and follow up on referrals and update patient records.
Keep patient flow by confirming appointments and handling waitlists/cancellations.
Collect copays and other payments accurately; assist with basic reconciliation.
Uphold HIPAA standards in front desk interactions and documentation.
