Texas Physical Therapy Specialists, a member of the Confluent Health family, is seeking a full-time Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our clinic. You will be the first voice and face for patients, ensuring a warm, organized, and professional experience from the initial call through every visit.

This fast-paced role requires strong communication and multitasking skills. You will support patient scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and payments while upholding HIPAA standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical front desk or clinical office setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
• Manage front desk operations: check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls.
• Review and follow up on referrals, update patient records, and explain next steps to patients.
• Maintain patient flow by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, filling cancellations, and following up for future visits.
• Collect copays, balances, and payments accurately; assist with basic payment tracking or reconciliation.
• Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards in all front desk interactions and documentation.
