Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and multitasking in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Warm Welcome: Greet and assist patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Patient and Business Documentation: Maintain confidentiality while organizing documents.
• Insurance Verification: Verify eligibility and explain billing policies to patients.
• Financial Responsibility: Determine and collect patient payments with clarity.
• Collaborative Support: Assist practice staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Compliance: Follow HIPAA and OSHA standards in documentation and processes.
• Administrative Duties: Perform office procedures and operate medical equipment.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality programs and patient result trackers.
• Travel Requirement: Support staffing by traveling to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as needed.
