Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
• Strong computer skills; EMR software experience (EPIC preferred)

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with a positive attitude.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and business documents.
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility; explain billing policies.
• Collect and communicate patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Assist practice manager, providers and staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance in documentation and processes.
• Perform general administrative duties and operate office equipment.
• Oversee quality assurance and patient result tracking.
• Travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as needed.
