Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• Experience: 1+ year in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, multitask in busy environment.
• Technical: Proficient with EMR software, EPIC preferred.
• Flexibility: Ability to work 12-hour shifts, some weekends/holidays.
• Team: Proactive, friendly, patient-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly and manage front-office interactions.
• Maintain confidential patient and business documentation.
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility; explain policies and billing info.
• Determine and collect patient financial responsibility; ensure transparency of costs.
• Support clinic workflow; assist providers and staff as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA/OSHA and other regulations.
• Perform administrative duties and operate office equipment.
• Oversee quality assurance programs and patient result tracking.
• Travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as needed.
