Job summary

Extended Stay America is seeking a Guest Services Representative to assist guests, answer phones, check guests in/out, and handle payments following company guidelines. The role emphasizes delivering excellent service, maintaining front desk operations, and contributing to a clean, welcoming property environment.

The GSR will work to convert inquiries into reservations, collect guest data for sales leads, and participate in maintaining safety and security as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates commitment to providing the best possible guest experience.
• Assists guests and responds to requests with follow-through.
• Resolve guest issues through Make it Right; uphold ESA service culture and respect for guests and associates.
• Process reservations, registrations, payments and departures per guidelines.
• Maintain cash, credit card and city ledger accounts for the property.
• Keep breakfast display organized and set up in a timely manner.
• Maintain clean, organized front desk, lobby and common areas per standards.
• Promote ESA value to inquiries and convert to reservations and occupied rooms.
• Collect guest information, identify sales leads and opportunities.
• Conduct periodic property tours to ensure brand standards.
• Provide reasonable accommodations to guest requests when possible.
• Adhere to all company policies, including key control and safety reporting.
