Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners in San Diego is seeking a front desk associate to warmly welcome guests, manage check-ins/outs, assist with reservations, and drive guest satisfaction. This role serves as the first point of contact, providing information and solutions to guests’ needs in a fast-paced hotel environment.

The ideal candidate will have basic computer skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to balance folios while handling payments and up-selling room options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Strong cash handling and computer skills.
• Excellent guest service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Handle guest registration, room assignments, quotes, up-sell, and payment.
• Pre-register, block reservations and manage same-day or future bookings.
• Manage check-ins/check-outs and balance folios.
• Resolve guest inquiries and assist with hotel services and local directions.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure room status accuracy.
• Answer phone and assist with cancellation per procedures.
• Provide directions, local attractions, and access to safety boxes.
