Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners is seeking a proactive Front Desk Associate in Memphis to welcome guests, manage check-ins/outs, and handle reservations. You will balance cash, take payments, and coordinate with housekeeping to ensure room readiness. The role requires a sunny, guest-focused attitude and strong communication.

Responsibilities include up-selling, answering inquiries, and maintaining accuracy in guest folios while delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–12 months of employment in a related guest relations position.
• Excellent computer and cash handling skills; sociable, outgoing demeanor.
• Strong communication with guests and management.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, assign rooms, provide quotes for rates, and up-sell when possible.
• Verify guest information and payment details against records.
• Pre-registering and managing reservations per rate structures and sell strategies.
• Handle check-ins/check-outs and balance guest folios and cash handling.
• Resolve guest complaints and assist with inquiries about services and local attractions.
• Answer phone and provide hotel information to callers.
• Cancel reservations according to procedures.
• Greet guests professionally and coordinate with housekeeping to manage room availability.
