Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a Front Office Manager to lead all Front Office operations with a guest-centric approach in a California hotel. You will train staff, manage schedules, and ensure service levels meet and exceed guest expectations.

The role requires 2+ years of hospitality management experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Opera and Microsoft Office. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in hospitality or similar industry.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to diplomatically handle difficult situations and people with integrity.
• Experience with Opera and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Front Office Operations and provide training for line staff.
• Meet desk agents and review logbook for incidents and arrivals; note special requests.
• Ensure cash and credit handling procedures are followed and daily guest ledger is accurate.
• Create and post employee schedules within required time frames; manage labor costs.
• Assist with sick calls or tardiness coverage and night audit duties as needed.
• Monitor VIP arrivals, guest relocation decisions, and outstanding guest requests.
