Job summary

Gold's Gym is seeking a Front Desk Team Member to warmly greet members, check in guests, answer questions, and perform lightweight administrative duties under the Gym General Manager.

You will process member registrations, assist with memberships and class sign-ins, handle phone calls, maintain the front desk area, and ensure a welcoming, safe environment. Requires high school diploma and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Organized, structured, and friendly coupled with a passion for fitness.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Understanding of basic cash processing procedures.
• Ability to proficiently use POS and CRM systems or any other computer programs required to meet the business needs of the club.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to include holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to bend, squat, and lift upwards of 50lbs repeated and stand for extended periods of time.
• Comply with all Gold's Gym policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests enthusiastically to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Check members in using proper procedures and monitor check-ins.
• Register guests and direct them to the appropriate staff.
• ANSWER phone calls professionally and take messages when needed.
• Process retail and concession sales at the front desk.
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and report maintenance concerns.
• Assist with membership sales and sign-ups at kiosks or computer.
• Assist with class sign-ins via app and member account updates.
