Job summary

InterContinental 62s Group plc is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, handle check-ins/outs, and manage bookings with upsell opportunities. You’ll interact with guests in person or by phone, addressing questions, concerns, and preferences to ensure a friction-free stay.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and basic computer skills. Flexibility for night/weekend shifts is essential, with a high school diploma as the baseline; a college degree is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills to address guest concerns and compliments.
• Problem-solving mindset to turn issues into positive guest experiences.
• Fluency in the local language preferred; other languages welcomed.
• Literate with basic math and comfortable using computers and POS systems.
• Flexibility to work night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is a plus.
• At least one year of front desk or guest service experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs when needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and set a positive first impression.
• Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests.
• Manage bookings and upsell opportunities.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Check guests in/out, issue room keys and manage safety deposits.
• Record guest preferences and respond to requests and concerns.
• Be a trusted contact for guests and escalate to management when needed.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents; wear required gear.
• Maintain a professional appearance and act as a brand ambassador.
