Job summary

Residence Inn is seeking a Front Desk Agent to deliver attentive, courteous service to guests before arrival and throughout their stay. You will manage check-ins/outs, respond to requests, and promote hotel services and local amenities.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma ( hospitality degree preferred), experience with cash handling, strong communication, and the ability to stay composed in busy periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hospitality-related degree preferred.
• Previous hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience handling cash and basic accounting procedures.
• Ability to assimilate information from various sources and adapt to needs.
• Able to handle problems in the workplace calmly and effectively.
• Must work well under stress and in busy conditions.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Weekend and holiday availability.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests prior to arrival and throughout their stay.
• Handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
• Respond to guests’ requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents at the front desk or through reservations.
• Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, amenities and local area.
• Ensure delivery of packages, mail and messages as needed to guests.
• Follow brand credit policies and be aware of rates, packages, promotions, and in-house groups.
• Maintain front desk area clean and organized; operate front desk computer system.
• Participate in meetings and hotel functions as required.
