Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Client Service Professional / Receptionist to serve as the welcoming face of the office. You will manage client scheduling, support daily operations, and work with tax professionals to ensure a smooth client experience in a busy in-person office during tax season.

The role emphasizes strong communication, multitasking, and confidentiality. Evening and weekend availability is required during peak tax season, with training and potential growth into tax

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with team members and serve clients professionally.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities throughout the day.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Comfort using basic computer programs and digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams and scheduling systems).
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming, professional first impression as the face of the office
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and match clients with the right tax professional based on their needs
• Manage client check-in and intake processes, including scanning and organizing documents
• Maintain office organization and cleanliness to support a smooth, professional client experience
• Collaborate with tax professionals and team members to ensure seamless daily operations
• Handle sensitive client information with confidentiality, discretion, and care
