Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Client Service Professional / Receptionist to be the welcoming face of the office. This in-person role handles client check-in, scheduling, and basic office support during tax season, collaborating with tax professionals to ensure a smooth client experience.

The position requires strong communication, multitasking, and confidentiality. Evening and weekend availability during tax season is expected, with opportunities for growth into tax preparation or office

Qualifications

Experience in fast-paced, client-centric environments.
Strong interpersonal and professional communication.
Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
Excellent organizational skills and follow-through.
Proficient with basic computer tools (MS Office, Teams, scheduling systems).
Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season.

Responsibilities

Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming, professional first impression as the face of the office.
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and match clients with the right tax professional based on their needs.
Manage client check-in and intake processes, including scanning and organizing documents.
Maintain office organization and cleanliness to support a smooth, professional client experience.
Collaborate with tax professionals and team members to ensure seamless daily operations.
Handle sensitive client information with confidentiality, discretion, and care.
