BreakThrough Physical Therapy, part of the Confluent Health family, is seeking a Full Time Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team. You are the first voice and face patients encounter, setting a warm, organized, and professional tone from the first call through every visit.

This fast-paced role requires calm multi-tasking, ownership, and a focus on accurate scheduling, insurance verification, and payments while protecting patient privacy under HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in a medical front desk or healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and follow-up skills.
• Comfort using computers, phones, scheduling systems, EMR, email, and basic spreadsheets.
• Ability to discuss payments, scheduling, and basic insurance professionally.
• Calm, patient-centered approach with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
• Manage front desk operations including check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls.
• Review, schedule, and follow up on referrals by gathering information, updating patient records, and explaining next steps.
• Keep patient flow moving by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, cancellations, and follow-ups.
• Collect copays, balances, and other payments accurately and professionally.
• Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards in all front desk interactions and documentation.
