Baton Rouge Physical Therapy, part of Confluent Health, seeks a Full Time Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team. You are the first voice and face patients encounter, handling check-in/off, scheduling, insurance verification and payments with a calm, patient-centered approach.

This role supports clinical staff, ensures HIPAA compliance, and helps maintain smooth patient flow across visits. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and clear growth pathways.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in medical front desk or healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organization, multitasking and follow-up skills.
• Comfort with computers, scheduling systems, EMR, email and basic spreadsheets.
• Professionalism discussing payments, scheduling and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients and visitors.
• Manage front desk operations: check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification, calls.
• Review referrals, update patient records and explain next steps.
• Keep schedules moving by confirming appointments and managing waitlists.
• Collect copays and other payments, maintain HIPAA privacy and documentation.
