Job summary

Concessions International is seeking a dedicated cook to support high-volume kitchen operations. You will cook, plate, and portion food following recipes and safety standards, while maintaining clean, sanitary work areas and proper temperature controls.

The role requires basic food preparation knowledge, the ability to read simple instructions in English, and accurate measurements. Must have a GED or high school diploma and at least six months of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; six months or more related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English and communicate information.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Ability to properly identify and use various cooking utensils and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cook, plate, and follow portion standards for food products per production requirements.
• Organize and plan activities by reviewing daily pull and prep lists.
• Cook and store food at required temperatures; label, date, and rotate products.
• Prepare items from scratch using company recipes.
• Test foods for proper cooking standards using tasting, measuring, or other methods.
• Monitor cooking temperatures on large equipment (grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, roasters).
• Maintain a clean preparation area and sanitize equipment and stations.
• Follow safe food handling and hygiene practices; report equipment issues.
• Perform opening and/or closing side work per checklists.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
