Job summary

Concessions International is seeking a skilled cook to prepare and plate food following established recipes and portion standards in a fast-paced kitchen. You will review daily prep lists and maintain a clean, safe workspace to ensure timely service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and related experience; you must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on food safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to follow recipes and communicate with kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Cook, plate, and follow portion standards for all food products in accordance with production requirements.
• Organize and plan daily activities by reviewing pull sheets and prep lists.
• Cook and store food at required temperatures; label, date, and rotate all products according to company standards.
• Test food for proper cooking standards using tasting, smelling, and temperature/measuring devices.
• Monitor and maintain correct cooking temperatures for equipment including grills, deep fryers, ovens, broilers, and roasters.
• Maintain a clean and organized food preparation area; clean equipment and workstations after use.
• Follow safe food handling procedures and proper hygiene practices.
• Adhere to workplace safety standards when operating and maintaining equipment; report malfunctions.
• Perform opening and/or closing side work as outlined in checklists.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
