Job summary

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.
3 years’ experience in logistics, transportation brokerage, or related field required; 5+ years preferred.
Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) required.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain customer relationships via phone, email, and in person.
Negotiate with transportation carriers and providers to obtain, set rates and determine services available.
Research and determine growth opportunities within the branch’s house accounts.
Identify new customer leads and opportunities.
Assess customer requests to provide best service options and pricing.
Proactively handle customer shipment requests.
Utilize the TMS system for data input to facilitate movement, planning and scheduling.
Provide direction and pricing guidelines for Carrier Sales team.
Monitor shipment tracking from pickup to delivery and keep customers informed.
Ensure customer expectations are met through close communication with Carrier Sales.
Track and trace shipments to provide accurate information to customers.
Prepare spend reports and conduct regular check-ins with customers.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
