Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Operational Account Coordinator to serve as the primary operational contact for assigned customer accounts and manage ground shipments from booking to delivery.

You will validate requests, build bookings in the TMS, coordinate appointments, monitor for delays, and communicate proactively with customers in a fast-paced freight environment, partnering with operations and warehouse teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in freight, 3PL, transportation, logistics account coordination, or customer-facing transportation operations.
• Experience owning day-to-day communication for a customer account, including shipment updates, escalations, appointment coordination, and proactive communication around delays or exceptions.
• Hands-on experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) and managing shipments from entry to pickup and delivery.
• Working knowledge of domestic ground transportation (FTL/LTL/intermodal) and ability to read shipment boards, load details, and appointments.
• Experience with e2open TMF, Descartes Aljex, Open Dock, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting high-value, security-sensitive, cross-border, or SOP-driven customer accounts with defined escalation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end shipments from booking to delivery.
• Serve as primary operational contact for assigned accounts.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments with internal teams.
• Monitor shipment boards for delays and escalate as needed.
• Communicate updates and resolutions to customers proactively.
