Job summary

Jobtailor in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Freight Forwarding specialist to coordinate ocean and air bookings for hazardous and nonhazardous cargo. You will work with clients to ensure complete, timely delivery and manage data in our system.

The role requires strong math, communication, and proficiency in CargoWise One and MS Office. You will handle freight quotations and resolve issues with clear, professional letters.

Qualifications

Three years of experience in a role involving extensive client contact.
Freight forwarding experience preferred.
Familiarity with CargoWise One is a definite plus.

Responsibilities

Schedule ocean and/or air bookings for hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
Ensure complete and timely delivery of freight by obtaining knowledge from clients.
Process data through the Company’s system and obtain consular releases.
Identify transactions that require special handling and recommend improved processes.

Compose complex letters regarding issues and resolutions.

Requirements

Freight Forwarding experience preferred
Prior use of CargoWise One a definite plus!
Three years of experience in a role involving extensive client contact required
Computer skills including MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
Excellent math skills
Familiarity with domestic and international geography including countries and major cities
Extreme attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
